Hey there the other day when driving my 2005 audi Cab (57K on the clock) i was unable to get thecar into reverse the car would just rev.

Well i was looking at treads on the internet and saw some scary and expensive solutions to fix the problem i.e new tranny.

Well i decided not to takeit toAudi as they seem to beover priced. Got my mechanic to run a check on the car, the problem was a fault gear selector unit and will only cost £60 plus labour which he is charging £50. He told me that Audi would of said a new transmission was needed and charge over £1000 for it.

So it's a big relief. Just thought i would share my experience with this problem.

So the dealer didn't even check the fault codes? Thats pretty shady of them.....
