How do you remove side view mirrors on the TT?
Something is up with my driver's side sideview mirror. It's not straight...I am thinking someone may have leaned on it and bent it or something. You can't really notice it unless you are driving and comparing the two mirrors..How can I remove this mirror to check? I have a TT Roadster 04'.
Thanks!
Thanks!

ehhh, if most cars are inside the door panel out, then I think its NOT that. I remember the last guy who worked on my car complaining how he got pretty far into trying to get the mirror off, to find he wasn't doing it the right way.
I may be wrong though. Other option is to pop the glass out of the mirror, so I guess you have 2 choices. ; )

The outside rear view mirror is definitely removed from the outside, and I believe there are "special tools" required. Start by disconecting the battery, and pry the mirror from bottom to top. You will then expose electrical conectors, clamping wedge, mounting screws, and a release spring, that all come off. That gets you to the base. Shall I go on, or do you know a good body shop?
