Actually it might have just been my puppy farting in the car. He was hospitalized yesterday with a major stomach/intestinal problem and is now eating this weird food that is making him gassy.

I was just sitting here and the same sulfur smell reared its ugly head.

I never can tell when the recirc option is working when the AC is on auto.

Any other ideas are appreciated as it may actually be the car.

watch it, you'll get pink eye if someone bare-assed farts on your air filter...

i'm clueless to what your car might be doing, but if you're following someone with a crappy cat, maybe you're smelling their exhaust

yeah the cat thing I thought about too.. but twice over a 30mi drive and I was def passing people... what are the odds i followed 2 diff cars with failing cats?

i'm assuming that if it was mine I wouldn't smell it while driving and especially through the ac.. only those behind me would. right?

yeah, i'd assume only those behind would smell it, but mentioning that it happens when you were accelerating may narrow it down a bit. maybe it is you somehow... small exhaust leak? <-- look at that, i got the question mark key to work! exclamation point too!!!

what about that little pollen filter under the cover, i think it's somewhere around the ECU?...i've heard if your A/C gets smelly it should be changed... every time air comes into your car from outside, it goes through that filter... idk just a thought...

This was a false alarm.

The sulfur smell persisted all night anywhere the little puppy was. His digestive track is out of whack and his gas is TERRIBLE!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
