Convertible rear Window
I have 03 A4 Convertible, I noticed my rear Window is coming off the Roof Top. It seemes to be glued to the canvas, but the whole corner is coming off. It doesn't leak (yet), but what should I do???

RE: Convertible rear Window
I have an 03 A4 Cabrio as well. I just purchased it for the wife. I noticed this week when it was hot, the seem "dropped" from the top and the rear window seperated from the top completely. I took it to the dealer who sent it to an upholsterer in town and they resealed it. However the window leaks now. I live in the seattle area and this is a major concern. Are there any techs out there that might have a specific knowledge as to what type of seal I would need to fix this. It is going back to the top shop on Monday and I am thinking that they may need to replace the entire seal around the window. Thanks for the help.

I had the same problem on a 2005 S4. My Audi dealer here in Pittsburgh sent me to an auto trim shop that sealed the window with "an epoxy after releasing the pressure around the glass" (their words).
It only cost $450. The shop said they've done this before and were confident it would solve the problem.
If you're in the Pittsburgh area the shop is called Michael's Auto Trim Shop and it's in Penn Hills on Leechburg road.

I have the same problem on a 2003 A4 in Toronto. Audi told me it needs a new roof, nothing they can do for me. $5000!!! I tried a marine seal, it didn't work well once summer came around (in high heat conditions), it just tore. I am now going to try an aggressive epoxy cement, wish me luck...I agree though, we do need to release the pressure to the window, but I just don't know how.

The place I took mine to works on marine trim as well. Maybe you can find a similar shop in the Toronto area to do it for you? I was referred to them by one of our local Audi dealers. The $450 I spent was well worth it and the seal is still holding great since I posted that in Dec '08.

What kind of experience you have with the roof since the fabric?
I live in an area where there are also snow in the winter, and I do not have a garage. What can I expect?
