Default RE: ICM test

why are you checking your icm

it would be easier to check the coils / plugs.. if that dosent do anything then its your icm

i had a misfire reconzied on cylnder 6 about a month ago, i do another VAG and the misfire diassapears leaving me with them 3 codes above.

plugs are clean.
and i dont have a VAG-COM handy to swap the coils around to see if the a misfire stays on cylinder 6.

ive tested the icm becuase i dont wont to buy new coils to find out they wernt the problem (im not made of money) and to see if the ohms is too high (which is my main question here, are them numbers too high for a V6?)

If, during On Board Diagnostic, the diagnostic trouble codes P1393/17801, P1394/17802, or P1395/17803 ("Ignition Coil Power Output Stage 1/2/3 Electrical Malfunction") are displayed: - Replace ignition coil power output stage.
Check the wiring between the ECU and ICM for continuity. If there is no discontinuity, most likely it is the ICM

thanks, but what is the ignition coil power output stage? the E1, E2 and E3 on theicm or the actual coil? i have all 3 stages displaying at once.
thats whats getting me confused.
i'll check thewires and wd40 the sockets.
