A4 Bose 6 Disc CD changer not functioning
So i've done a few searches and browsed the FAQ's and didn't come across the answer so hopefully this isn't a double post. Please point me in the right direction if it is.
My 6 disc cd changer doesn't work. The eject button in the trunk doesn't pop the disc tray out and when pushing "Mode" on the radio it doesn't give you the CD option. It cycles between Radio and Tape.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as i know nothing about Audi cars but am looking to learn as much as I can.
Thanks!

Alright, if that's the case it's really not that huge of a deal. I'm doing web design for a car stereo shop out of San Francisco and they're paying me in stereo equipment instead of cash. I was hoping I'd be able to keep my stock CD changer but it looks like that's not going to happen.
Anyone have info on a suitable replacement?

My changer was doing the same thing, I'd press the button, hear the noise, and nothing would pop up. I found that using a quarter to wedge it out works pretty well. Just press the button down, stick the quarter in the crack, wedge it out, and it should come easily. Also if you don't have a cd in the changer it won't recognize it under mode and will just go back and forth between tape and radio.

Mine acts like it doesn't even have power because when I push the eject button I don't hear any noise like it's trying to do anything. I checked the power cable and it appears to be plugged in properly at the CD changer end. Not really motivated enough to check the connection to the back of the radio because usually taking a dash apart is a pain on my old cars, couldn't imagine how much of a pain it will be on an Audi. Do you know if there's a fuse that is specifically for the back CD changer?
Morpheus,
Thanks for that link. those are very affordable and might be exactly what I will get but is that compatible with the Audi Concert II Bose system?

When i follow the CD changer detection directions here for my radio: http://www.ibiblio.org/tkan/audi/radios/concert.html
i'm getting the NO CDC error. Any tips on what's the next step?
So far the run down is
NO CDC error
No power to CD changer in back (eject button doesn't do anything), connections in back appear to be fine
