Default A4 stalls while driving!!!

I have a 2000 audi a4 1.8 turbo. I bought it with a few mods such as dvd player, 12'' sub with biult in sony xplode sound system.. As well as an after market alarm system. Im going crazy trying everything to find out why my car all of the sudden stalls while driving, sometimes the engine light will flicker on an then i could be driving on the highway when a sudden jolt shuts down the whole car out of no where.. Ive taken it to audi specialists an he claims to have tried everything. After it stalls most of the time i can just pull over an it will fire back up no problem an i continue driving. Sometimes it wont stall for weeks, an other times it wont start after it stalls. If anyone has ever seen or heard of something along these lines or has any suggestions it would be much appreciated..this is stressing me out to the max an i have no idea what to do?!?!

i have an 03 a4 1.8t and mine does this if my breaklight has been out for a while... It has something to do with the break switch.

check your MAF that would be the first thing. Replace it if necessary, I was told the MAF's on these cars go bad often.

no your headlights aren't really connected to the cars engine system like the break lights are... I would def check the MAF mine went out a few weeks after I first bought it plus its a chaep DIY. I am not sure about you but I've taken my car to alot of "specialists" and they dont seem to really know what they're doing. at least in my town...I know we all hate to do it but the dealership is the only place I trust to touch my car. If you haven't yet, take it down there to see what they say. It is more expensive but when you put their price next to the price you pay the specialist and your car still isn't fixed, you still have to go to the dealership anyways and pay them, it is much cheaper.
