i believe its because my radio aint working so i am guessing dats why i cant communicate with my ecu now my second question once my kit comes in for the radio is there anything else other then the radio that wont let me communicate with the ecu?

 

bump guys i just pulled out the radio and still cant communicate with the car!!! THE ABS LIGHT SPC N CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON HELP NO COMMUNICATING WITH ECU TO CHECK CODS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

is your ecu bad? i know water can sometimes get in there an screw things up. poor drainage design. check your fuses?

 

I don't know if this will help but I have a 2000 A6 2.7T and on my car I could not communicate with the ecu either. I discovered it was a bad ABS module, if I unplugged it I could communicate with the ecu just fine.

 

Does anyone know if the immobilizer could cause the problem?
